In my TEDx talk, I explored the critical need for culturally-tailored mindfulness programs for Black women, highlighting how traditional wellness practices often fail to resonate with their unique experiences and stressors.
Drawing from my personal journey as a Black woman, mother, and certified nurse-midwife, I emphasized the transformative potential of co-created wellness programs that prioritize representation and cultural resonance.
By addressing these needs, we can help alleviate health disparities, particularly in maternal health, ensuring every Black woman feels seen, heard, and valued.
This approach is not just about wellness, but about fostering inclusivity and improving health outcomes on a broader scale.
